Assume the position
Yes, you can try this at home

One person's flogging is another person's missionary position.

Every now and then, Lady Viktoria likes to mix things up by submitting to the position that has stood the test of time -- the missionary.
That said, Viktoria's missionary usually comes with a twist, like an interesting location or during some nice role playing, but it's still something different for the usually sexually dominant dame.

For the third year in a row, Viktoria will be teaching kink-curious newbies and veterans the BDSM basics at the Everything to do with Sex Show, happening Oct. 24-26 in Toronto.

For the past nine years, the show -- which draws locals as well as visitors to the city -- has been dishing out the sexual goods with more than 100 vendors selling everything from sizzling sex toys and suggestive costumes to lingerie, erotic art, romance enhancers and hot offerings for the kinky-minded set, including flogs, whips, handcuffs and masks.

For Viktoria, who is offering dungeon stage demos, flogging is the act she most enjoys unleashing.

"I am pretty amazing with floggers," she says in a voice so commanding it's easy to understand why Viktoria's speciality is taking charge.
But don't try and pay for her domination talents. That, she says, takes away all the fun.

While she offers many educational, sex-related workshops across Canada, Viktoria is not a dominatrix for hire.

"I didn't like the idea of someone telling me what they wanted out of a scene," says Viktoria, who calls herself the kinky liaison.

"It took away the fun completely. I don't want the stress of it. It's part of my life and it's part of my relationship."

Viktoria discovered her dominant bend years ago after her curiosity led her to a funky fetish cafe in Montreal. One night a "buffed Italian guy" approached, telling her "I want to succumb to you," she recalls.

Next thing she knew, she was unravelling a new found love of domination, doing "everything instinctually."

WELCOME TO THE DUNGEON:
OK Sex Show newbies, don't expect to find the dungeon tucked out of sight.

Once concealed behind a black curtain, in recent years the mission has been to bring the dungeon out of the dark.

The play stations are not only visible, the public is also invited to come inside and test out the powerful world of BDSM for themselves. Meanwhile the pros ensure everything is safe, sane and consensual with the use of safe words.

Once considered an underground scene, fetishes and kinks are now popping up in the sex lives of the masses.

"It's becoming more acceptable," says Viktoria, who's been active in the fetish community for the past eight years.

"Thanks to the media, movies and television, it's mainstream."
In her workshops, including adventurous play 101 and how to use a flogger, Viktoria also relies on audience participation.

"I am speaking to the everyday person, the curious, the open-minded and anyone who wants to surface their kinky side," she explains.

Participants fall into one of three categories: Beginner, intermediate and advanced, kind of like my beach volleyball league, I think to myself.
Viktoria, however, compares it to cross-country skiers, downhill adventurers and, finally, "that crazy ass guy that goes down the side of a mountain."

Well said.
"People are either, 'oh my god, I want to try that,' or 'why would anyone want to do that?'"

For Viktoria, the answer is simple.
"Because within the kinky spectrum, there's something for everyone," she says.
"Even if you want to stay in the shallow end of the pool."
