Dominatrix and escort killed themselves in Putney flat

UK - PUTNEY - A dominatrix and an escort who met each other on a suicide website killed themselves with a mixture of toxic chemicals, a coroner's court heard today.
Riley Lison-Taylor, 33, an escort and Jaime Perlman, 37, a dominatrix, were found dead in a cupboard in Miss Lison-Taylor's flat, in Norman Court, Lower Richmond Road, Putney.
Police officers were called to the flat on September 30 last year when Gary Murray, a friend of Miss Taylor, called saying he was worried about her.
They found the door and letter box had been sealed with tape and called in specialist police officers wearing protective clothing.
The women were found slumped in a cupboard wearing swimming googles and headphones attached to MP3 players, and were idenitified by letters found in the flat.
Westminster Coroner's Court heard that the pair had only met five days before through a suicide information website.
A letter found afterwards written by Miss Perlman read: "I have committed suicide, this is my third attempt."
Both women had a history of depression and suffered from problems with stalkers, which they had reported to police.
They both were unhappy with the police handling of their cases and had lodged complaints.
The inquest heard Miss Lison-Taylor, who was also known as Chemaine Chevlene, had a traumatic childhood and was beaten by her parents.
She also had a relationship with Colin Stagg - wrongly accused of murdering Rachel Nickell on Wimbledon Common.
She had feelings for the police officer dealing with the stalking case and exchanged text messages with him.
An IPCC investigation upheld complaints that the case should have been passed to another officer and there was misconduct in text messages the officer had sent.
Miss Lison-Taylor became distressed that her name, which she had changed by deed poll, was published on a life-long restraining order against the man who stalked her.
Close friend Mr Murray said she became more depressed after the ruling.
He said she often said she was going to kill herself and several times he caught her out buying toxic chemicals.
At one point he was so worried that he bought all the toxic chemicals at a shop she used, he said.
Miss Jaime Perlman, who left a husband and child to move to London, was stalked by a man who was suing her for not receiving services he paid for.
The man was arrested for harrassment and an IPCC investigation is ongoing into the police officer who dealt with the case.
Coroner Dr Shirley Radcliffe recorded a death by suicide.
She said: "This is a distressing case of two women in their thirties who were fit and healthy found dead in a premises.
"There were an awful lot of difficulties that they faced in their lives and they were vulnerable people.
"And the stalkers were probably one of the most difficult things they faced."
