From Angel to dominatrix: Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks sheds her good girl image in racy bondage-inspired photo shoot

UK - She didn't make the cut for the 2012 Victoria's Secret runway show after years as one of the brand's Angels.
But Selita Ebanks appears to have moved on, swapping her bubblegum pink lingerie for whips and leather.
The 30-year-old explored her dark side as a leather-clad dominatrix in a black-and-white photo spread for Hong Kong WestEast's latest issue.
The model is seen in a variety of seductive poses, including one where she dons a black wig while brandishing a whip as she stands over a near-naked man in the equestrian-inspired shoot.
Another shows the Cayman-born beauty perched atop a horse wearing thigh-high black boots, a skimpy costume, and what appears to be an American Indian headdress as she throws her head back provocatively.
In one particularly fierce shot, Selita is seen with her natural hair long and tousled wearing a leather bondage outfit as she stares piercingly into the camera.
The shoot, which took place at a horse farm in Long Island, New York, was centered around 'showcasing the strength in women,' said Derek Warburton, EastWest's US fashion director.
The spread is a far cry from Selita's work as a Victoria Secret Angel, which involved fun and flirty shoots and bright colours.
Photographer Christopher Logan said of choosing dedicated humanitarian Selita for the EastWest spread:
'I wanted to feature an inspiring woman whom I not only admire in the world of fashion but also reaching beyond the velvet rope to assisting others.'
He said he also wanted to tap into another side of the typically clean-cut model.
'I wanted to visually transform Selita in a way no one has seen before,' he said.
Selita appears happy to have moved on from her time as an Angel. When asked by
Page Six, if she would try out again this year, she said:
'Probably not, no. I think I’ve done what five, six shows? I think I’ve experienced my VS days.'
The supermodel, who played the legendary phoenix in Kanye West’s 2010 film Runaway, has also worked for high fashion brands Neiman Marcus and Ralph Lauren, and featured in magazines such as Sports Illustrated and Vogue.
She also announced the launch of her own collection of swimsuits, shoes and beach coverups called Sass by Selita last May.
'It takes a certain kind of women to have sass - very confident, sexy and independent, she told the New York Daily News.
Sass, which stands for 'Selita's Accessories, Shoes and Swimwear,' hit stores this winter.
