Photograph of George Osborne with dominatrix is taken off eBay.

UK - An embarrassing photo of George Osborne, with the former prostitute Natalie Rowe, has been removed from sale on eBay, the online marketplace, on taste grounds.Natalie Rowe, the former madam of the Black Beauties escort agency, will, however, have to wait a while longer before she can enjoy the proceeds, after eBay withdrew it from sale barely 24 hours after it had been put up. “Why?” Miss Rowe demanded.
“My lawyers will be looking into this farce.” She adds she is not prepared to give up on selling it and intends to take it to a traditional auctioneer.
A spokesman for the Chancellor tells me: “George has had nothing to do with this.” This was confirmed by eBay, whose spokesman adds: “This decision was taken by eBay alone, because we didn’t feel it was an appropriate item to be sold on our marketplace. “
Miss Rowe has not had an easy time of it since
Mandrake, disclosed in September that she planned to publish her life story, Chief Whip - Memoirs of a Dominatrix. Her home was subsequently raided by up to 12 Drugs Squad officers, who, armed with a battering ram, burst into her flat, claiming that they were acting on a tip-off from a member of the public. No drugs were found in the two-hour search, during which, Rowe claims, she was asked about her book.
Miss Rowe does not claim Osborne availed himself of her services, but the photograph of her with him appeared in a tabloid newspaper in 2005, beneath the headline: “Top Tory, coke and the hooker.”
